We have an excellent opportunity with Malaysia's leading design & fit out contractor. Due to recent contract awards, coupled with continued expansion in the SEA region, we have been commissioned to recruit an experienced fit out project manager. The ideal candidate shall be promoted to a senior leadership role within 24 months of joining.
The Company
Our client is a well-established market leader within construction & fit out in Southeast Asia. They specialise in high end, luxury projects within the commercial & retail sector, working with blue chip global firms such as Apple and BP.
They have recently started building their client base in the data centre market & would be interested in speaking with candidates who have expertise in this area.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate would be talented and experienced in their field (10 years+) with a proven track record of project delivery on high end/value projects (£5,000,000+)

Job Summary
As part of the site management team the Works/Section Manager perform a technical, organizational and supervisory role to ensure that the works are constructed in compliance with technical, quality, safety and program requirements and within budget.
Works/Section Manager also plans and establishes procedures and methods by which staff must abide when performing tasks. He also reviews production reports on a regular basis and implements corrective actions, if necessary.
Duties
You will be responsible and accountable for providing project direction to ensure the safe, successful, cost efficient and timely delivery of a variable number of projects at any time, enabling and providing as necessary, effective risk management and problem resolution.
To oversee, provide coaching and personal input to client, professional and supplier relationships for assigned projects, ensuring development of skills for their team.
To ensure adequate resources for the assigned projects, ensuring appropriate levels of skill, especially for design and engineering, facilitating skills transference with the assigned project team staff to develop their recruitment, selection and resourcing capability.
To provide guidance and to personally manage, as appropriate, risk and client and professional expectations through early identification of issues from project reporting, project meetings and other inputs.
To proactively set health & safety standards and culture for all assigned projects and to take appropriate action where necessary to reduce safety risk.
