Our client is a market leading specialist sub contractor in the UAE. They specialise in steel, scaffolding, foamworks & engineering services across various industries; such as oil & gas.
They are looking to hire an experienced Senior Technical Sales Engineer for their Dubai office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Hire and sales targets are achieved in line with company expectations.
- Achieve sales targets by building relationships with existing and prospective customers to increase our opportunity of order conversion.
- Account management of existing accounts to increase revenue and improve customer retention.
- Business development to identify new business opportunities in Dubai.
- Handling enquiries from inception through to closing the deal - Liaising with prospective customers, interpreting structural drawings, recognizing appropriate solutions, interaction with our design team, preparing detailed and presentable quotations and interacting with the client to close out hire and sales.
- Leverage market, product and technical expertise to identify client needs
- Develop and grow customer base through proactive account acquisition. Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails and customer visits.
- To work productively with other members of the sales team.
- To liaise with other departments to ensure that the sales plan is achieved, and profitability maintained.
- To provide monthly, quarterly and yearly forecasts, and to track progress against targets.
- To assist in debt issues and settlements.
- To monitor and maintain CRM.
- Communicate with customers/sales regarding product availability, delivery dates, order cancellations, and order status via phone and email in a fast-paced environment.
- Interface on a daily basis with all levels of staff as well as Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Yard personnel etc., to ensure customer needs are met.
- Able to effectively handle a high volume of calls and tasks in order to respond to inquiries or resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Timely communicate issues that affect order status and according inventory availability.
- Maintain the pre-sales pipeline efficiently, including requirements gathering and materials reservation.
- Ensure Operational KPIs are within corporate acceptable limits.
- Correspondence and meeting with management as and when required.
Key Competencies / Skills
- Experience of business development in a client facing role.
- Experience of bid preparation with clear understanding of industry-specific documentation to support such bids.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work on own initiative with the ability to deliver against targets as set by the company to achieve sustainable business growth.
Qualification & Experience:
Essential
- BSc Engineering
- Should have worked for min 3-4 years with scaffolding and Formwork Company within UAE.
- Extensive knowledge of different types of formwork systems.
- Ability to use necessary software.
- Worked for major formwork supply companies in the region (Construction Site Experience).
