Project Director - Civil Engineering Contractor

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Our client is a major international contractor. They specialise in buildings, civil engineering and Oil & Gas. They are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead a major ADNOC offshore/island civil and building project. The position is primarily onshore in Abu Dhabi, with regular travel to the island/offshore site.

Key Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for project delivery, Contracts, schedule, cost, quality and HSE.
Lead construction, engineering, planning, commercial, procurement and HSE teams.
Manage ADNOC, PMC, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
Oversee civil/building works including structures, foundations, buildings, roads, utilities and MEP.
Manage onshore/offshore manpower, materials, equipment and marine logistics.
Coordinate barges, workboats, crew boats and other vessels for movement of manpower, materials and equipment.
Monitor programme, productivity, resources and project risks.
Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, HSE and contractual requirements.

Requirements

Civil Engineering / Construction Management degree.
15–20+ years of major construction/project management experience.
Strong UAE and ADNOC project experience.
Proven civil/building construction experience.
ADNOC Offshore / Island / Remote Project experience preferred.
Strong experience in onshore/offshore logistics and marine vessel coordination.
Proven leadership of large multidisciplinary teams.
Strong commercial, contractual and project management skills.

Ideal Profile:
- ADNOC + Civil/Building approval/ experience
- 15 years experience at senior level
- proven track record of delivery
